Minto ecohome is an innovative, energy-efficient single family home in the village of Manotick.
The Minto ecohome has won numerous awards, for its energy efficiency and unique sustainable
design.
Ottawa Solar power was awarded the contract to design and install a 6kW solar electric system in
addition to a solar thermal system used for water and space heating.
The homes solar electric system is connected to the grid, under the OPA microFit program which
pays $.802 cents per kW hr produced.
