I just wanted to thank you
for the amazing job your entire team did. . You answered
all my questions and even came to my house prior to quoting
a system to ensure we could fit enough panels on the
roof to make it worth my while. The installation was

Having solar panels installed
was a dream of ours and Ottawa Solar Power made it possible.
From the first minutes over the phone until the completion of the works, they
did an outstanding job. We are demanding and picky customers
who wanted the best and they met all our expectations
hands down!
Not only did they offer a professional service,
they also took the time to explain each major stage of
the process. We greatly appreciated the honest -no hidden
fees- pricing policy and the fact that our questions
were always answered in a timely and courteous fashion.
There are many stages and stakeholders in the new Micro-Fit program and I am
glad we were able to count on OSP to guide us along the
way. Once we decided on the scale and the budget of our
project, OSP helped us prepare our application with the
Ontario Power Authority (OPA) to kick start the micro-fit
process. Peter was very helpful to send us all the necessary
technical info and answer all our burning questions!
Once OPA approved the project we dealt with Hydro-One
to reach an agreement for direct deposit (into our account
;) and to have a second meter installed (expect $1000
extra payable to the power supplier). Our advice would
be to double check all documents you will be sending
as any missing piece will slow down the process...
Whatever
issues we faced in that stage were answered promptly
by OSP technicians. The hydro company will contact you
personally in case of problems or delays so keeping OSP
posted at all times made us save some precious (sunny)
time.
Even if the overall process took a bit longer than
we had expected (OPA being overwhelmed by the amount
of new contracts) it is only fair to say that it was
mostly due to the fact that we were among the first batch
of new customers. OSP knew however how to proceed and
made the right calls to act up accordingly and reassure
us when paperwork and technical lingo got us confused.
Professional, reliable and friendly service. What else
could you want? PV is a serious business and we are glad
we trusted a reliable local company with a tremendous
amount of expertise and seasoned employees for our project.
What a treat to generate our own power and benefit from the Mic-fit program.
Predicting how much we generate each day has become our
new favourite game and what a pleasure to see the daily
statistics thanks to our Sunny Portal monitor.
We will
not hesitate when the time will come to have solar water
heating at home.
