This Ottawa Valley customer understood the value of
a solar electric system connected to the grid under the
OPA microFIT program. After careful analysis, it was
realized that a greater return investment was possible
with the solar electric system than having money in bonds
or a GIC. Returns in the 9-11% were achievable.
This home was one of the first 10 homes in Ontario to
sell power back to the grid under the microFIT program.
